Adventure Center

Founded with the conviction that thrilling outdoor activities can be both fun and therapeutic, the Squaw Valley Adventure Center offers a variety of new and interesting adventures with emphasis on experiential education. These activities are designed to improve personal and group awareness and to enhance family and group bonds.

Among the many facilities available are Miniature Golf, the Ropes Course, the Skyjump Bungee Trampoline, and the Climbing Wall. They are used in conjunction with hiking, snowshoeing, orienteering, and other activities to create challenging programs that promote personal discovery, group awareness, change, and lasting empowerment. The idea is to push individuals outside of their "comfort zones" and provide new opportunities for discovery and learning.

Skill development is also emphasized, such as leadership, communication, goal setting, problem solving, and group dynamics. Scheduled instruction for 7~10 persons can last from three to six hours, depending on the program. Orienteering for groups of 2~3 persons takes about 2~4 hours and is available in all seasons. Short nature hikes are offered in the summer and fall, snowshoe tours can be taken in the winter and spring, and special multi-day adventures can be arranged. Lasting 2~6 days.
