Bass Pro Shop

The Bass Pro Shop is located in Manteca, California. The company was started by Johnny Morris who was frustrated by the lack of tackle supplies in the area. He started selling items to fishermen in a small space in his father's liquor store; it became a popular stopping place for fishermen on the way to Ozark's bass lakes.

Today the store is a leading outdoor retailer, specializing in hunting, camping, nature gifts and outdoor cooking supplies, along with many other tidbits for outdoor use. Each store also features boat showrooms, with different types of fishing vessels from small river craft to large open ocean vessels.

The store also has many old artifacts and memorabilia on show. There is an area dedicated to Outdoor Adventures, the Fine Gun Room with many different types of guns used for hunting on display and the Wildlife Creations section which creates many taxidermy and fish replications with amazing lifelike quality. Each Bass Pro Shop is always searching for donations of items for their store.

Bass Pro Shop serves over 75 million visitors in their American and Canadian stores each year. The store will provide a unique and unforgettable shopping experience for each visitor.
