Cedar Canyon

Cedar Canyon Road is a mostly unpaved twenty mile road that connects Ivanpah Road to the Kelso Cima Road. The road sometimes joins and often parallels the Mojave Road. Cedar Canyon is connected with Essex Road by the unpaved portion of the Black Canyon Road twenty miles south. The Rock Springs is found on the road as well.

Rock Springs is the area watering hole and is just over five miles to Black Canyon Road's east on the Cedar Canyon Road. The road runs through the Mojave National Preserve. The U.S. National Park Service found south of Las Vegas in California. There are eight hundred thousand acres of wilderness, sand dunes that are six hundred feet high, dry lakes and other natural wonders to add to the beauty.

Kelso Depot Visitor Center at the preserve is open each day from nine in the morning until five in the evening. The center at Hole in the Wall is only open when there are volunteers or members of the park staff available to run it. During the summer the center at Mitchell Caverns is open just on weekends and every day during the winter. There are no entrance fees for the National Preserve.
