Close to the hotel there is the Santa Cruz Beach, the boardwalk, wharf, Big Basin Redwoods State Park, Roaring Camp Railroads, and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Two miles from the hotel there is the University of California Santa Cruz campus.
