Land Park Lanes

In the heart of Sacramento, families can enjoy a few frames of bowling at nostalgic Land Park Lanes, located at 5850 Freeport Blvd.

Land Park Lanes is an AMF bowling center offering open bowling, league play, and party or event hosting. AMF Bowling Centers, Inc. is the world's largest bowling company. This bowling alley is open generally from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Bowling is believed to have originated as early as a few thousand years B.C. Modern bowling methods began in the Middle Ages, and ten-pin bowling had its beginning in the United States in the mid-1800's.

Visitors can enjoy food and drink in a friendly atmosphere, and bowlers can have their food brought right to their bowling lane. Every Friday night, Land Park Lanes turns off the lights for glow-in-the-dark bowling. League nights include Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., so those who dislike crowds would do well to visit at a different time.

Located in the south side of downtown Sacramento, Land Park Lanes is just a 15-minute drive from the Sacramento International Airport. Other nearby tourist sites include the Sacramento Zoo, Funderland, Fairytale Town, and a handful of city parks.
