Madonna's Former Home

Before Madonna became a fixture in London, she owned a home in Beverly Hills, California. It was listed for sale at nearly seventeen and a half million dollars and feature eight bedrooms. The home features nearly 6,500-square feet and is located on North Roxbury Drive. The current owners bought the house from Madonna for 8.7 million dollars, so they stand to make quite a profit in its sale. The house is Spanish-style, as are many of the homes in the Beverley Hills and Los Angeles area. Madonna lived in the house for nearly five years, having purchased it in 2000. It was previously owned by Diane Keaton, who bought the home in 1996 for less than three million dollars. The house was designed by architect Wallace Neff and creatred in 1926. Keaton refurbished it during her time living in it and then it underwent renovations again in 2007. The house is gated for privacy and safety. The house features nine bathrooms, an outdoor dining space with a fireplace, courtyards, formal gardens, a swimming pool, a detached office, two guest houses, and just over a half acre of land. The home has been featured in Architectural Digest magazine. Madonna purchased two homes after the sale of the Beverley Hill home, one in London and one on Sunset Boulevard.
