Peltzer Pumpkin Farm

Every fall when the leaves begin to change, the Peltzer Pumpkin Farm becomes a popular destination for families in Temecula, California. From one hundred pound pumpkins to farm animals that are furry and friendly, the farm is loved by children of all ages. The farm offers old fashioned train rides, pony rides, a collection of classic John Deere brand tractors, pig races, a corn maze, a Mound-O-Hay and a variety of special activities. The farm is a popular place for school tours from the end of September through October. Tours include an educational visit through the petting farm, time in the corn maze, tours through the pumpkin, squash, sunflower and gourd gardens, a look at the tractor collection, a take-home pumpkin and a take-home book. Kids can also enjoy a picnic lunch in the shaded area of the farm. The petting area is one of the most popular attractions at the farm and is home to sheep, bunnies, goats, chicks and chickens. The farm offers pig races that are free to watch and a favorite of visitors to the farm. Pigs are treated like royalty before and after the race and are encouraged to race one another in order to be rewarded with an Oreo Cookie surprise.
