Riverfront Playhouse

The Riverfront Playhouse opened in 1981 and has brought community theatre performances to the Redding community ever since. The theatre is a non-profit volunteer organization. Their goal is to encourage the community to understand and appreciate live theatre by offering opportunities to participate in and watch performances. The theatre offers a nurturing environment for actors, directors and creative individuals who want to participate in live performance. The theatre has a support program that allows people to get involved in helping the theatre. Memberships at the theatre provide people with access to special events. Tickets for shows can be purchased from the Graphic Emporium and theatre goers are encouraged to use cash or credit cards to pay for their ticket purchases in advance. Ticket prices are very reasonable for live performances and range from $15-20. The theatre also offers flex passes that enable patrons to see several performances per season for a reduced price. The theatre also offers Buy Out nights where large groups can purchase access to the theatre for themselves. The theatre offers an annual Christmas show that bring patrons from the area to the theatre to enjoy the holiday performance and celebrate with other members of the community. The holiday program is one of the theatre's most popular performances of the year.
