Shoreham Towers

Built in 1963, the 12-story Shoreham Towers is West Hollywood landmark. This historic building is often featured as a stop on Sunset Strip tours, owing to its quintessential West Coast architecture and the shocking 1995 alcohol-related death of one of its famous residents, former Bolshoi ballet performer Alexander Godunov, who defected from the Soviet Union in 1979. Godunov is perhaps best known to American audiences as a Hollywood actor who starred in such films as Die Hard, Money Pit, and Witness.

As a full-service luxury high-rise condominium with 131 units, Shoreham Towers offers residents a variety of luxury amenities. These include 24-hour security and valet service, a fitness center with a spa and sauna, and a recreation room. There is a small dog park on the ground level and a hexagonal pool in the central courtyard, which is surrounded by a sun deck with beach chairs, pink padded chaise lounges, and sun umbrellas.

Units of various sizes are for sale, ranging from a 304-square-foor residential one-bath studio listed at $140,000 to a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath high-rise home with 2,838 square feet of floor space for $1,695,000. Rentals are available, too, from $2,950 to $5,900 per month. Shoreham Towers is located at 8787 Shoreham Drive, Los Angeles, California 90069-2209.
