My first hint that I wouldn't get a good night's sleep was the first night when I woke up to someone standing over me. Making sure I was breathing? I don't know. Then I woke up to someone pouring me ice water at 3am. And finally when AM vitals were taken.

Vitals consisted of having your blood pressure, temp, and pulse taken. It's always hard to be forcefully awakened at 6am, but in March, it wasn't even light out at that time yet. So when the aides came in, the first thing they did...

So we hit 2022 with snow and more snow and more snow. I decided to drive to the store one day and surprisingly, with just a few mishaps, got out of my driveway. When I got stuck, I merely pulled out the shovel, shoveled down to the gravel a few feet ahead of the tires (all I could manage without collapsing), and drove forward as far as I could.

I was even able to break through that great big drift the plow...

I wasn't going to post a blog anymore but I've had so much drama in my life this year that I've decided to start writing about it, not because I think anyone will care, but because it helps me keep track of what happened when. And also, it helps me to vent.

This may be my last post in my blog. Technically, I'm not pioneering anymore and I'm just living the way everyone else lives, just with a few differences.

All the critters are still around. I've named the five jays Crazy Jay, Screamin' Jay, Baby Jay, Jay Z, and Jay Leno. They're such greedy things that I can't even leave peanuts out for the squirrel anymore. The jays get them before he does.

I think I'm finally not living like a pioneer anymore. No, the contractor did not come hook up the septic hose. After 6 - count 'em - 6 promises of he'd show up, he never did. I finally got tired of waiting on him and called a mobile RV repairman to do the RV stuff, mainly because I have a propane leak in the trailer and that needs to be fixed.

But the RV guy showed up day before yesterday and put the hose on, installed the toilet, attached the hose, and checked for leaks. So now...
