Does This Morning's Blood Moon Mean Anything For This Election?

Posted 11-08-2022 at 07:26 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Maybe it's prophetic. Maybe it's coincidental.

This morning, we had a blood moon in our skies in the pre-dawn hours before the most important midterm elections to take place in our lifetimes. Your writer got a glimpse of it as he headed for work early today. Will this phenomenon and its timing be an omen for the events and results of an election?

Gary Franchi expounds on this subject in the video link below:

Lubbock's Joyland Actually Gets A New Lease On Life

Posted 11-08-2022 at 06:15 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

For some time, it didn't look like Joyland Amusement Park in Lubbock would have any future at all. Staffing issues and rampant vandalism were cause for concern to the owners of the park, prompting rumors that the place will be closing after the 2022 season.

I just learned that Joyland will have new owners after all. And on top of that, it will be two couples. Their Facebook page revealed that the new couples will keep the park going through 2023 and beyond. I only...

#TopSongs #TopOldies #PlayList

I am working on a project where I have searched online and formed a list of the 100 top songs of each year, beginning in 1940, and working through each year. I am currently up to mid-1986.

This is my new 'playlist' and I have them downloaded as mp3 files on a flashdrive.

It has been a fun project.

Astros' World Series: Storylines, Drama, And Dusty's Elusive Ring

Dusty Baker is now a manager, and he's done so for a very long time. And for him to get the Houston Astros job to manage this club, he had to be...
