The sunlight streams through the leaves and warms and nourishes the green plants and tulips that Miss Brown faithfully...

One of my happiest moments on cd was when they added the blog option.."Well now," I say to myself, "here's my chance to put it all out there, all my great many memories, all my wisdom, all my thoughts on saving the world, all my writing talent on the www.com for dozens perhaps hundreds to read "..HAH, in those first few days my mind was full of what I would write as I hurried off a couple blogs with very little effort..Subjects and past events were running through my mind so...

Such terrible images of the devastation left in Iowa after the waters receded..Thousands of homes and belongings destroyed..Thousands and thousands of acres of corn and soy lost..I heard that many of the farmers were under contracts and will also owe for the failed crops..Now I hear that the flooding on down the Missippi will be worse than they expected..
I will continue to keep you folks in my prayers, and do what I can in donations which are being gathered here..

Prayer is...

Hogans Creek..Blue's Blog

Hogans Creek was a wide, but not so wide a creek that a fairly good swimmer couldn't easily cross it..It flowed clean and gentle and was shaded by age old trees with wild grapevines climbing the trunks and wandering out the limbs big around as my daddys arms, and finally hanging just above the surface of the water. The grapevine made a wonderful swing for three sisters and a brother to see who could swing the highest and the farthest before dropping into the deepest part of the creek.

We live an easy, laid back life here in the mountains of East Kentucky..Our front porches are very important to us..If we are fortunate enough to have a covered porch we are doubly blest, because not only do we have shade from the hot noonday sun, but we have a place to hang the wooden swing...

The wooden swing is an essential part of our favorite pasttime..Watchin the kids and dogs playing, and keeping an eye on the road to see where the neighbors are off to..

The swing...
