Rosetta Stone

Is Rosetta Stone REALLY the best way to learn a new language aside from going to a country or an area where a certain language that you want to learn is spoken predominantly there? Are there any other at home tools I can use? Not very good with flashcards, I listen to reggaton and it's kind of hard finding music in other languages especially if you don't know how to spell the words, when I had a television I use to watch Telemundo and Unavision, I have a minor in Spanish, I understand what people are saying yet uncomfortable with butchering someone else's language. I'm ready to just go to a few countries for a few months and working somewhere to pick languages up, which is what I can do. If you have any recommendations for me please share!

Try stuff from Berlitz. The books are easy and they have great DVD to listen and repeat.
I found few good courses ( free) online, where you can learn : read and write and that is supporting by voice pronunciation. Google and see which fits your needs.
Don't be worry about butchering language. Talk with people and they will appreciate your effort! Ask them to correct you
That's how I learned English.
