Left Behind

Posted 02-27-2013 at 07:22 AM by snowduck

Matthew 24:40 - 41, Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Christ doesn't just pick people at random, decide he doesn't like them and leave them behind, so who are those who will be left? They (those who will not enter God's kingdom) are simply the ones who do not believe that Christ is the way the truth and the life (John 14:6). One of the things this scripture shows us is that there can be people who don't believe right next to those that do, so we may not know who is standing next to us. As Christians we need to tell those who are not about the gospel (good news). We can't enter God's kingdom by holding on to someone elses shirt tails or because of something we have done, we can only come to Christ for that, and he makes this easy for anyone to do. All we have to do is reach out and take his free gift of eternal salvation (Revelation 22:17-The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life). His offer is available to everyone and everyone needs it. What About Jesus?
