hunterseat df: Hunter Seat Equitation is a division that is judged on the ability and the style of the rider. The riders can be judged both over fences and on the flat.

Although true, hunters DO eat, at least the skilled ones do, my name derives from the world of horses.

And because the word hunter is in my name, people automatically think I'm a guy. Not even close.

Whenever I meet someone named Hunter I have to bite my tongue to keep from saying "That's my name, too!"

Whatchew talkin' about, Willis?

Because I want to keep it kind, I'll skip the description of my neighbors. You can form your own opinion when I tell you they have abandoned one of their 3 cats. His name is Willis and he's a young male and *gasp* he has FLEAS. The nerve. It all started when I heard a loud feline distress call very late one night. My Leland was in - he usually is unless he escapes. I snuck out to rescue the distressed and heard the neighbors laughing about it. It was the little orange boy asking to come in.

In a few days one of the kids told me they don't want him. He's not their cat anymore. Really? So they just lock him out? I guess there are worse things than being an outdoor cat and there are so many squirrels and birds here. Woods, creek, deer... you may have heard that before. Then I realize as the days go by Willis is getting thinner and thinner. They stopped feeding him!!

I took my catfood dispenser out and shook it and he nearly slid right into me, momentarily forgetting he's afraid. He was starving. So I've fed him for the last 3 days and he's beginning to hang out over here a little. If I can nab him I'll put flea medicine on him and eventually he won't be a little Tom any more. In a perfect world I can find him a good home. In a less than perfect world it won't kill my relationship with my guy if I keep him. Either way, he's a-okay.
