My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

The gnat in my eye and the manly tomato sandwich!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I have not posted anything for a while but I have been somewhat busy with various things that have occupied my time (such as watching some Battlestar Galactica episodes through my laptop and getting into some very interesting though somewhat intense discussions on the Christian sub-forum here).

But..I thought I would post some pictures of me that might give my esteemed readers a more personal view of who I am as they continue to follow my daily adventures.

Mind you...it took a bit for me to be willing to do this since posting photos of me makes me that much less anonymous but...it's a risk I am willing to take.

This first picture is a pensive self-protrait while trying to find a gnat that flew into my eyeball. It's a bit embarrasing with it being a close-up and all but I wanted you all to know what I look like...

This next one is a most revealing photo . That's me wiping my mouth after eating a delicious tomato sandwich...

Finally...a photo of the tomato sandwich itself. Given that I was hungry at the time...I figured the easiest, most manly thing to do was to cut the tomatoe in half and put one half on a piece of bread. Hope no one is hungry...

Until next time.

The man with the big eye who likes manly tomato sandwiches,

Carlos

PS. I changed the spelling on that which I put in my sandwich a bit. Given that there is no such thing as a toe named toma that can be put in a sandwich...I changed tomatoe to tomato. I'm surprised no one caught that (as I write this I am laughing so hard that tears are forming in my eyes).

Thanks malfunction. I don't know if you could tell it from the photo but...that's a Canadian tomatoe. But then again it might have been from China and only sold in Canada though, I don't think I remember tasting any lead when I ate it .

Thanks malfunction. I guess I'll wait to see what happens. As it is...I think I can now lay claim to the most comments with the least views on the entire forum.

    0 views and 5 comments...so far .

Good Golly Gee you all....(blushing). The effusive praise of my growing blogging skills is much appreciated.

Believe it or not...sometimes...I roll with laughter as I read my own posts. The one about the pensive self-portrait while looking for a gnat in my eye is...well...especially funny. I like looking at that picture once in a while when I need a good laugh LOL.

I really did have a gnat in my eye and given that I was in the middle of nowhere with nary a running tap that I could wash my eye out with (I had been hiking)...I decided to use my camera with it's zoom capabilities and a viewfinder that can be swiveled around to look at myself, to look at my eye.

That's when I got the idea of taking a funny revealing but, not so revealing portrait of myself.

I never did see that gnat but after laughing heartedly at the thought of such a self-portrait...the gnat problem went away. My laughing must have shaken it out or something .

decided to update this waning blog (just read in a paper last week what 'blog' means.... web log .... silly me, I never figured that out on my own)

anyhow, Carlos, what is going on with you these days? Miss San Diego climate and fun things to do, but ... when you leave there, you can never go home again.. (thanks, T. Wolfe).

so... are you staying or leaving?
