Espresso........

Do you know how many people mispronounce the word *Espresso*?
It word is pronounced phonetically, it is eSpresso not eXpresso.

Do you know how hard it is to find good, edible Christmas cookies in any grocery or bakery? Thankfully our daughter made Christmas cookies so my yearly 3 cookie fix has been satisfied.

The Hot Sign is one of the things our Grandsons will remember fondly from their childhood and their outings with Oma & Papa.
For those that do not know about the Hot Sign, it is part of the Krispy Kreme donut legacy. When they make a batch of fresh original glazed donuts they turn on *The Hot Sign*. That is your beacon of light, comfort and sweet goodness to stop at a Krispy Kreme donut shop, walk inside and get a free, hot, original glazed donut. Every time we take our Grandson's out we always hope to partake in the hot sign and we always get extra donuts to take home.

It is the middle of the Christmas Shopping season and the middle of a lot of stress for so many humans/families. The commercialization of this season is outrageous and we do not partake and have not for many years. We give a gift to our Grandchildren and donate the amount we would have spent on gifts to a worthy to us cause. Less stress more satisfaction.

This writing is going to be very short this time.
It is blog post # 200 and I believe a fitting number to end the year.

We wish you all that you deserve in your lifetime, safe travels, health, happiness, success and love.

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.

I laughed out loud when I read your blog post. I'm well-educated and a self-proclaimed coffee expert. BUT I still say "Expresso" to which my husband sighs. It just feels wrong to say "Espresso" because it sounds like a lisp.

Can you write another blog post on WHY the second "R" is silent in the word RURAL?
