CTB (Continued Training Benefits) California Unemployment

Posted 12-11-2019 at 04:06 PM by Simplyme1979

Anybody have any knowledge on this program? My unemployment ended last week. I reached out to them prior to this to find out about this program which allows you to continue collecting benefits while you attend school. I am set to start school on January 6th. I am not sure if I will qualify, as it says you need to let them know you are interested by your 16th week of benefits. My claim had to go through an appeal process so i eventually was approved for the full 26 weeks, but ofcourse only collected about 16 physical weeks once it was approved. So I am hoping they base your 16 weeks on the physical weeks you collected once approved. Also I'm not sure about my start date, as I think you had to start before the claim ended. However, I am not sure that is why I am asking for anyone that knows how this all works. They still have not responded to me yet.

Thanks for any help!
