Mobile home title issue HELP!!!!!

Okay so my father in law gave us his old mobile home to my husband and I. The title is under his late grand aunt who passed away 15 years ago. My in laws have been paying the taxes since. The mobile home has a pending balance of 24,000 dlls. They received a letter for reposition back in 2001. Under the late aunts name. What happened is that before she died she made a notarized letter to her sister. Who happens to be my husband's grandmother. Later his grandmother made a notarized letter to her son (aka my father in law) that she was giving the mobile home to him. So all I have for this mobile home is a letter to him notarized that it was given to him. Now the manufacturer of the mobile home went bankrupt back in 2000. I'm not sure what happens here if I go to the mvd and request a title. Please help
