Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.
What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.
Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)
"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)
"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)
"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)
"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Confronting The Jordan

Joshua 4:8-9 - "And the children of Israel did so, just as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from the midst of the Jordan, as the Lord had spoken to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood; and they are there to this day."
It's time to cross over! It's time for your ministry to cross over! It's time for you and all that you represent to cross into the new! The time of promise and stepping into the lands of promise is now!
There are two different types of stones that are alluded to in this passage. One set of stones represents the old and the other represents the new.
There are twelve stones that will lead you into your destiny and there are twelve stones that you are meant to leave behind. There are stones of memory that will lead you and there are stones of memory that will leech onto you if you don't let it go. It's time for you to cross over into the new and for you to cross your Jordan River!
THE OLD IS GONE
Your memory stones will bring you into your future. You are meant to bring up those precious moments of divine encounters with the Lord and bring them into your future. These moments of victory will become signposts and prophetic symbols of where you came from and where you are going.
Most people seem to either ignore this or to read over it. However, the Bible is clear that there were twelve other stones that Joshua intentionally left behind in the midst of the river of Jordan. Prophetically, led by the Lord, Joshua intentionally left behind twelve stones in the River Jordan.
There are some things that you may have picked up in the journey that shouldn't be in your destination. There's some hitch-hikers that you may have picked up for a ride, but you must leave them behind before you reach your stop.
The old should not be brought into your new! There's some things of the past that don't ever need to be remembered again. Those dead-weights of pain and burden are not a part of you anymore. Leave it behind in the River Jordan.
The old will be forgotten as quickly as the Jordan waters cover over these stones. It's time for you to be free from these things and for you to cross over!
CROSSING OVER
However, there are twelve stones that the Lord wants you to bring as you cross into your new you! In fact, it is absolutely necessary for you to carry it into your cross-over!
What are those foundational things that God wants you to carry into this new season?
What are those memories with Him that will become cornerstones of your faith for all that is ahead?
God is anointing the Church to be prepared to cross into their Promised Land. The Holy Spirit is anointing the Church with fresh insight and revelation, to walk ahead and move forward into the new!
Do not look back! Yesterday is already long gone! Do not treat today like yesterday. God wants you to fully possess today! Today is your day! This is your acceptable year of favor!
These memorial stones will be set up as a reminder and a testimony of God's goodness. They will be prophetic symbols pointing you to the new thing that God is leading you into. You will know where a person is going by the stones they've set up. You will have direction in your life by the clear signposts you set up.
These signposts of memory will lead you into God's PURPOSE for your life and your DESTINY. They become memories of honor.
These rocks will cry out of your honor!
These rocks will cry out of your destiny!
These rocks will cry out of your glory! They will properly guide you into the Kingdom elevating assignment that God is giving you.
JOSHUA GENERATION
This is the Joshua generation. It's time for the Joshuas to arise!
It's time for your Christ identity to become a Kingdom quickening reality.
It's time for the Joshuas to cross over and to possess their lands of promise and fruition!
You are made to conquer! You are made to be a conquering king and queen! It's time for you to possess the gates of your enemies! It's time for you to possess and activate the spiritual lands, riches, and anointing to help others with their spiritual needs, destined for you in advancing God's Kingdom in the earth.
Be the Joshua that God has ordained you to be. Don't look back -- cross over into the new!
