Latino, Hispanic population in Santa Clarita doubles over last two decades

Posted 03-29-2022 at 01:46 PM by Faith in Action
Following the 2000 U.S. Census, the data showed Santa Clarita having a population of 151,187 with 30,846 residents identifying as Latino or Hispanic, or 20.4%. The 2010 Census showed an increase of Latino or Hispanic residents to 51,941 out of 176,320 total residents, or 29.4% of the population.

The data sets show that not only did the total population of Latino or Hispanic residents increase with each census, but they also show the proportion of Latino or Hispanic residents increased by more than 14%, or rising from one-fifth of the total population to more than one-third.

Gee, I wonder what we can attribute this to? Wouldn't be due to the huge number of Latinos here illegally, would it?
Default Starting Threads
In the 3 weeks you have been a member of City-Data, you have made 12 posts. All of them were starting new threads in the Christianity forum. You have not replied to any posts in any of those threads.

I'm going to combine most of them into one thread. If you have more ideas, post them in that thread. If people ask you questions, answer them. This is a discussion forum; not a preaching platform.

The problem we are trying to avoid is having one person's posts/threads taking up all the visible space on the first page. Most people do not search the forums. They simply look for thread titles on the first page, read the ones that look interesting, and post replies if they have something to say.
