hunterseat df: Hunter Seat Equitation is a division that is judged on the ability and the style of the rider. The riders can be judged both over fences and on the flat.

Although true, hunters DO eat, at least the skilled ones do, my name derives from the world of horses.

And because the word hunter is in my name, people automatically think I'm a guy. Not even close.

Whenever I meet someone named Hunter I have to bite my tongue to keep from saying "That's my name, too!"

Just in Case!

It's a hard lesson to learn.

Bottom line: It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I recently posted the above well-worn advice to a person asking if they should install a four foot fence or a six. That's a no-brainer for me, having a very large dog who can leap four foot fences in a single bound and thinks seriously about attempting the six footer I had installed.

But this isn't about fences. It's about tea cups. Okay, I'm lying. As a purist I can't call my CZ Mustang travel mug a tea cup. So it's about that...and tea.. and holding the mug over the sink when I pour the hot tea just in case! And I never spill it. As long as I hold it over the sink. Complacency can be messy. Every.Single.Time. It's uncanny.

I'm not superstitious but I do believe in lessons. I wear all my protective gear when I roller skate - even crash pants. Just in case! I also wear protective gear when I ride horses, even gloves, though my show jumping days are long gone. Protection is good, just in case.

So why am I having such a hard time with my obedience to God? I need to be prayed up, studied up, even tithed up.

It's been proven to me. If I don't hold over the sink, I spill. When I fall roller skating (and I do) my protective gear saves my bacon, as it does with riding (which is why I consider myself somewhat of an expert at falling - riding horses and falling off )

God has proven himself to me, even though he certainly doesn't have to. But he also taught me what's important and right now I feel a bit out of his will. And I need to get back. Just in case.

I was sent here to tell you that God said, "Hello" to you. Maybe you were traveling outside of his will? Interesting article...all about tea cups. Protective gear...tea cups.

Case44 it just dawned on me how many times I used the word "case" and didn't even make the connection.

LOL. I wasn't sure if responding would have been a good idea, but "just in case", I'm sure it was just coincidental.

Actually, HS, you're not alone, either. Free-R and jbgusa also used 'case' in a few of their recent titles for their subject matter in this same blog haven. The running joke is, perhaps, I get around....
