The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is NOT like electricity or magnetism (except in its energy form
)! The Holy Spirit is the "character" of our God's consciousness, NOT a separate person. Our human Spirit is our "character" and is produced by the brain in a "person." Our Spirit is the "person" we actually are, NOT our physical body. That is what confused our very unsophisticated primitive ancestors and subsequently our not-very-nuanced theologians into creating the Trinity explanation and rejecting the honest answer as heresy.
We are to produce a "character" in our human Spirit as close to God's Holy Spirit as we are capable of. We were not doing a very good job of it prior to Jesus. That is why Jesus brought it to humanity as a person so that we would know it and it would permanently be a part of the collective human consciousness. A human person with consciousness can be guided by it because it is a state of mind (NOT supernatural or magic).
If you are NOT in the states of mind associated with God's Holy Spirit as Jesus revealed, you are NOT being guided by Him, period, no matter what you read or where. That is why our task is to learn about the "mind of Christ" to know the "mind of God," NOT what our primitive ancestors believed about God or Jesus as recorded in the scriptures. They were NOT in the states of mind associated with the "mind of Christ" when they received their inspiration from God's Holy Spirit so they misunderstood the warnings as from their wrathful God.
We are to read the scriptures using the "mind of Christ" using His agape love and forgiveness, NOT wrath to see what Jesus (and the prophets) actually were trying to tell us, NOT what our primitive ancestors THOUGHT they were trying to tell us using their primitive beliefs about their wrathful War God. That is how you study to show yourself approved using the Holy Spirit. To remind you,

The Holy Spirit IS the True Nature of God revealed, described, and demonstrated unambiguously by Jesus. He IS agape love, kindness, mercy, compassion, gentleness, unconditional acceptance, empathy, sympathy, tolerance, long-suffering, decency, friendliness, peacefulness, joyfulness, understanding, care, concern, solicitude, solicitousness, sensitivity, tender-heartedness, soft-heartedness, warm-heartedness, warmth, love, brotherly love, tenderness, gentleness, mercifulness, leniency, lenience, consideration, kindness, humanity, humaneness, kind-heartedness, charity, benevolence, and He is non-judgmental.
