Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.
What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.
Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)
"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)
"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)
"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)
"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

The Spirit of God has been fanning the flame of discontentment within the hearts of the saints causing them to feel a deep dissatisfaction with mere powerless religious actions. There can be no true revolution with contented people! What you feel within your spirit is a divine disturbance driving you to seek God on a deeper level.
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." - John 14:12
Christ Jesus has set the bar extremely high, and we are called and commissioned to do the works that He did as well as even greater works. We are living in the greatest time of history, for we have been given a vocation to accomplish the purposes of God through our Christ calling.
Be willing to go deeper than before, to yield more and more, to hearken to His voice, and, like the wind, allow its empowerment. Heaven has found its home inside of you. You have the power because His power lives within you.
Go and get yourself ready. Go when He opens wide the gate. Go and conquer. Go take the land, -- Do it with all of your might. His strength is within you. Passionately pursue and bear fruit that remains for His Kingdom as the light of the world. Let your eye be single so you can fully shine.
"The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light…(Luke 11:34 KJV)
