Lake Norman / Charlotte or the Wilmington area??

I have recently returned from a 1 week vacation in Cornelius (Lake Norman nc) area; and was very impressed with having easy access to Charlotte (only a 20 minute drive to get my City fix); the shopping around the Lake Norman area was fantastic... I loved the Lake; but found not also having the beach rather sad.

In 2013 we will be looking to relocate to a warmer area than here in Virginia (near Washington DC); so was wondering which City would make the better place to live for Empty...

Any time I travel my dearly and great state of Texas, it is such a privilege to sit down at one of the great burger places that Texans love to chow down at. Many of you out there have favorites of your own, I'm sure.

So, this buzz-haired Texas critter is curling up at his computer, fidgeting, thinking, fidgeting some more, and thinking some more about what his top ten burger places might be. How about we all saunter over to our wonderful, cozy computer campfire...

Mortgage Rates Improve Following Fed Statement

Mortgage backed securities went on quite a ride yesterday. Following the 5year treasury note auction which saw only decent demand, market participants hurried to sell their fixed income investments ahead of the fed statement. This led to MBS moving much lower and falling below the current range. However, following the Fed statement which held no surprises the market quickly changed course and MBS went on quite a rally. By the end of the day, MBS managed to close at the upper end of the current trading...

Mindful That There's NOT a Darned thing I CAN DO, and It's Okay

DH has been ill with probably stomach flu since Monday afternoon. As of last night, his fever (101+) is gone, but he's still pretty weak. We remain here in Fond du Lac, WI while he recovers.

Bigun continues to grow, play, and demands my attention -- a great reminder that life goes on, despite our stuff. I wish our eleven year old Lhasa would accept him, so she could take some of the play time, but that doesn't appear likely after three weeks. Yes, it HAS been Three Weeks!
