Project Impact and the American Red Cross conducted a Spring Break service event. Fifteen members of the Tulsa Area Chapter Red Cross youth department assembled and distributed mitigation materials and "starter" disaster kits to 565 residents. The kits included a canvas bag with a flashlight, basic first aid supplies, hand can-opener, battery-operated radio, and other disaster kit essentials. The recipients of the kits and information were clients of the Red Cross SHARE program, a monthly food distribution program that services low income and elderly residents. Members of Junior Red Cross Clubs in the Tulsa area collected the supplies for the kits. FEMA News Photo
