Helen DuBois, FEMA Tribal Mitigation Manager and Anthony Wright, Mitigation Data Specialist prepares a box of FEMA publications on mitigation and emergency preparedness for the Pala Band of Mission Indians' Earth Day Celebration. The FEMA mitigation department has been working with the Pala Band of Mission Indians and eight other tribal nations in the Southern California area after a severe winter storm was declared a Federal disaster on January 26th. Several of the tribes will be celebrating Earth Day and FEMA is supplying information that will help educate tribal members about emergency preparedness and mitigation. FEMA/Pritchard
