Per population Perth has the most Singaporeans/Malaysians because it's a bit closer. The food is pretty good too actually. Where do you live btw?
Trimac- I was born and grew up in suburban Los Angeles, my family still lives there or in WA state. I then lived outside Seattle and am now in Vancouver, Canada (my fiance is Canadian) for the past 3 years. These communities all have significant Asian populations, but not much Singaporeans/ Malaysians. Southern CA has a community of other SE Asians: Vietnamese, Laotians, Cambodians, Thai though.

Every once in awhile, relatives from Singapore come over- if they tend to go to a Western country, it seems they're most familiar with Australia. When they visit California, they actually enjoy eating alot of the Western-food chains! and some better Chinese ones in the San Gabriel Valley.
The relatives that have visited me in Vancouver last year, they enjoyed the Japanese food and Vancouver has good standard of various Chinese (not just Cantonese) cuisine...there are several Malaysian restaurants too but they are mediocre and expensive.
