Oh for crying out loud.
The reason gay sex (not BEING gay) is a sin in the Church is that it's sex outside marriage.
Sex outside marriage -- gay, straight, whatever -- is a sin.
The church's official doctrine (not anything based on anecdotes from specific instances) is that homosexuals are to be respected like all humans are, and that we are to separate the Sinner from the Sin.
So while the Church frowns on homosexual sex, it does also on ANY sex outside marriage.
And no one is getting EXCOMMUNICATED for pre/extramarital sex, sheesh!
But it's much more fun for a lot of people to continue to bleat that the Catholic church hates gays.
So don't let me spoil your fun.
