Here is what you either don't get...or don't want to get:
The thread is, "What's the Theistic posture about this 20 child tragedy?"
And the answer to that, based on what it has been ACTUALLY demonstrated to be. Broadcast round-the-clock for all to see, in no uncertain terms...so there is no question as to what the reality of the answer is.
Obviously, it's not what you'd like it to be...or what you think it should be. But what it has, IN FACT, turned out to be none-the-less...IS, all about them being in Gods loving embrace, that they are now Angels in heaven with God and Jesus in eternal peace and happiness...etc, etc, etc.
AND!...to THEM (the ones that really count in this matter)...it is not "cold comfort", it's the warmest of warm comfort...their God is not imaginary, but as real as real gets...and they do not see it as "uncomforting platitudes", but the most comforting and deeply meaningful thing they could possibly hear.
So, decry it all you want...the "Theistic posture" has been assumed by the vast majority (and, most significantly, the people directly involved), and is, IN FACT, very religious, and very spiritual.
MOF...so prolific is the "Theistic posture" that has been assumed, that it is nearly categorical...and your position on it, for all intents and purposes, is of essentially no tangible significance what-so-ever.
THAT is "the facts on the ground"...take it however you want and think what you want of it. It is, what it is.
