But your definition of the divine applies to atheism as well, because there must be an ultimate reality that is responsible for everything in that reality.

Simply calling it divine is presuming this ultimate reality is intelligent, and is therefore simply begging the question.

And we know complexity forms without the need of intelligence, from cosmology to evolution, so the onus is on the religious and the spiritual to provide the evidence for this extra alleged intelligence. We atheists have already met the burden of proof.

Your cosmic consciousness may not have been disproved, but it does not explain anything (qualia, optical illusions, etc), and has no predictive power. It is an extra that has no evidence for it, so Ockham's razor applies.

And as we have a lot of evidence that consciousness is a product of the brain, then in in Bayesian terms, that makes it less likely consciousness is a cosmic attribute. And that is a logical argument against your position, not atheism.

Atheism is against theism.
Against? Atheism is simply not believing in gods. Maybe it is because English is not my first language, but I do not understand what you man about against.

I am against religious fundamentalism, but that has nothing to do with my atheism, as many rational religious people are also fundamentalism of any kind.

Atheism has no existence.

So people CAN disbelieve what others believe in their mind (Yetis, UFOs), but this does not apply to religious belief because you do not understand what atheism actually is (not believing what religious people believe).

As to atheism being illogical, let us try a logic problem and see.

Either there was absolutely nothing, or there was always something. There is no third option.

If there was once absolutely nothing, then that includes gods and consciousness. Atheism.

If absolutely nothing was a state, then there were no rules defining how that absolute nothing, including the rule that one can not get something from nothing.

If absolutely nothing is not even possible, then there was always something. There is no need for 'some god did it' to explain existence. The question is what is that something? If you want to argue it is a god or a cosmic consciousness, then you need to provide evidence for your claim. Because we have over 2000 years of evidence that natural forces did it.

atheism is not illogical, it is the only logical conclusion until you provide credible evidence for either a god or a cosmic consciousness.
