I found just I had to cut way back on eating and I exercise at the gym 4-5 days a week. I eat about 700-900 calories a day I lose about 1-2 lb. ever 2 days. Many will say that is too fast, but for me I have to see results quickly or just give up fall back into the ways. I also eat dinner early 4-5 pm then I don't eat until the next day 8-9 am I drink a protein shake. I call it overnight fasting.
It was very difficult at first, I had been in a cycle of binge eating at night lot of sugary snacking I ballooned to my heaviest ever at 244 that is a lot for someone who is 5'6". I suddenly couldn't button any of my pants except one pair it was an emergency. I felt awful my resting heart rate was 100 BPM something was wrong just walking around a house. I made an appointment took 8 weeks to get to see the doctor in that time I decided I had no choice but to lose the weight.
After dieting for about 10 days on a very low carb diet and low Calore diet the hunger went away. I get hungry not the same I feel little weak not that craving for carbs. When you get a boost of insulin waiting for that big blast of sugar is the feeling you get that drives you to eating junk food.
I had lost weight before, but I had always hit a spot where I could not go any lower. While I was exercising daily still seemed like I could not lose anything. You just have to be very careful what you eat everyone burns calories differently. If I eat an apple it will take few extra days to start losing weight again. Personally, I think because I have a family history of type 2 diabetes my A1c has always been between 5.7 and 6 I'm probably insulin resistant.
