Just wondering why if I post a picture in a thread, I can't post it in another thread

That's news to me. How are you trying to post it? As an attachment or in some other way?

I click the paper clip and the box comes up and click browse and then try to attach it and it says something like "this picture is already connected to another post" and it won't let me put in the other thread.

Lightbulb image not paper clip

Try linking the picture of the 2nd post with that picture of the 1st post. It should work. I’ve done that before anyway.

Come to think of it, I didn’t use the “link paperclip” is used the “image” in the 2nd post to that of the 1st post. This should work.

It appears you're right - using attachments, you can't attach the same picture twice in different threads. You could make it work in the way AksarbeN suggested or you could put it up on some picture storage website and hotlink it from there.

That's funny that this was brought up...had the same problem posting the picture (for thumbnail attachments) of our dog.

I just deleted it and uploaded it again...since it wasn't critical any longer on the other thread.

One way around it anyway. I'm so glad you asked! I was wondering the same thing!

Just copy the picture on your computer to a new file with a new name then attach that to the new post (still better to store it on a photo site and link to it though)
