Spelling is one of the few things I do very well, and there's a misspell in one of my posts and I can't stand it!!!!!!!!!

(Quietly clears throat and says...)
Help, please...

Thank you.

Edit button still there. Would you like me to correct your post? Which one?

The edit button goes away after 90(?) minutes. Until then, you can make your own corrections -- after that, a mod has to do it. Just send a DM to someone on the mod list, include a link to your post, and say what it is that needs to be changed.

Funny, the Edit button does appear in this Thread, but not on the one in question. Hmmm...

Yes, please, would you correct my spelling error? It is in this Post //www.city-data.com/forum/21338328-post33.html near the end, "Never let your fears be stronger then your dreams." Would you please change "then" to "than"?

Thank you so much.

Guess I never noticed that.

Thanx!

Too many people worry about their spelling on here. I'm a bit finicky about it as well, and when I proof read my post before I click submit, I'll go back and fix it, But I'm sure not going to stress over it if something slips through the cracks. { and often it does }

Another thing is, too many people worry about OTHER peoples spelling. We really need a crack-down on grammar nazi's around these parts. Too many posts Ive seen where the main topic was the other posters mispelling, along with some little retort about the actual subject of the OP. Perhaps make it an infractible offense?

It's usually off topic to comment on that, unless the thread topic is spelling and grammar.

Report such posts when they are a distraction or insulting and let a mod take a look.

Thanks for the advice. I don't use the report button very often though, I just ignore that person from that point on.

If you don't report the problem, it's not very likely you're going to see that crack-down you were looking for.
