Thread closer (aka thread jinx)?? - About the Forum - City-Data Forum

How to explain this? Often times I will see a thread that looks interesting and give it a read. Thinking that I might add a little something, I jump in with a reply.

Poof, thread ends. No more responses. Thread stops; with my post.

Sometimes the thread is relatively new with only a handful of posts, other times it has continued on for some time. In fact, occasionally it has been dug up from the past, dusted off, and new life breathed into it. That is, until I come along and post. Poof!

Gosh, am I some kind of jinx, a CDF thread pariah?

Go ahead, tell me....sniff, I can take it, moan...sob.

A bad tooth....LMAO. Let me tell you, no one was more surprised than me to see my thread moved. Not that it made me upset, just surprised.

I don't really see how moaning about being a thread jinx belongs in "about the forum". But what do I know, maybe the administrators want others to learn how to close down a thread?? Maybe I can hold classes.....
