NA stands for "not available". It means the post (or perhaps entire thread) has been deleted. Here is one example of how it could work: You use the report button to report a spam post. The moderator deletes the spam and reps you as a way of thanking you for the report. But there is no longer any post there to look at in reference to your receiving the rep points, hence the "NA".

That pretty well sums it up.
If you get a rep you made in a thread and the thread gets deleted, you keep the rep points, but the thread no longer exists so it shows as NA
When you report a post, the reports go into a special area that only mods can access. So when a mod reps you for the reported post, you cannot access the area so it will show up as a N/A for thread.
Same is if the thread, or the post was deleted. You still keep the points from the Rep but with the thread no longer there, it will show as N/A.

Actually, I've gotten reps for posts like that but usually they don't show up as "N/A" but rather [ Other Topics ] New... with the forum in brackets ... If I were to click on the link to the thread, it would let me know that it is a restricted area (the special forum that the reports get sent to that is restricted to mods). I know this because the rep comment is from a mod thanking me for reporting the SPAM, etc....
It's all good. The moderators are just doing their job and, imo, a wonderful job. Most times I get an N/A but every once in awhile a moderator will actually put a little note on my rep. It's up to the moderator and time they may have. I'm sure their "job" is not easy and requires a tremendous amount of time.
From my understanding, most moderators are volunteers so I'm very grateful.
