Thank you. I found it. I now have it set to if I post in a thread it's automatically added to my subscribed threads and it's set to send me an instant email notification that a post was made in a thread that I have posted in.

That's exactly what I was asking for.

The second part of my original post wasn't asking another option. I was just describing the options was already aware of, but that weren't exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to automate it. I'm forgetful. Thanks.

Dude, you'll probably have a faster response if you DM a Mod. about this.

I do not think a Moderator can fix that issue.

Marka or Yac might be able to.

Another great tool is the "search" type in your username then select "show posts" .. That tells me when someone either replies to one of my posts AND when someone mentions my name without quoting me. This along with the subscription feature that I can check in my settings helps me to stay active in the threads I care about staying active. I don't wish to continually have CD clutter up my email box so I leave email notifications off.

BTW: Check your SPAM box as that's where my CD emails wind up going even though I indicate that it's not SPAM. I only get those alerts when I receive a DM.

But what is so wrong with receiving a email notification to let you know a thread you are subscribed to someone has responded?

And why is it considered CLUTTER if it's a email from a site you visit everyday

The emails I consider clutter are from

Amazon
ebay
paypal
groupon
dating site specials

Go to search at the top along the bar. Type your poster name. Then click the dot show threads or the dot show post. It will take you back to all the threads you posted in or the post will show you whom responded.

I know but I like receiving emails because CD is not the only message board site I go to chat. To me it's easier to get the alert which takes me right to the last person who responded
