I mean I know probably 95% of the traffic on this site is non-geographic in nature. I hate to even imagine what staggering percent of that is squandered away in the politics and OC section.

BUT...if the actual data on City Data was available in a more intuitive and user friendly manner then this site could really be something special. Uh, I mean even more special. As is, the data is basically on another site...far removed.

Imagine if there was some way to incorporate the data stored there into the forums here. . . easily!

Currently, the figures are so hard to get at that I've only been here a little while and have already seen many arguments and debates where people guesstimate and quote other sources while a huge stockpile of data sits unused under their feet!

And, lastly, as the title suggests...it'd be friggin neat-o if one could enter two city names and get side-by-side comparisons in regards to cost, crime, growth, weather, education, etc.

Comparing two (or more) cities side by side wouldn't be that hard, huh?

Other sites do this but, frankly, their data is bunk. I mean...Austin has more than 14% Hispanics. Medford, Oregon is not 30% black. And those are just the obvious ones I know are wrong...

Please Lord, let this happen. Let City Data be more than a place where curmudgeonly raisins come to vent about politics. :-(
