When I was in first grade at a private school in Orange County, California, the mother of three students at my school was involved in a fatal car accident off of a road called Ortega highway, where her car went over the cliff. I've been for the past several months trying to find an article online about the incident because it was big news at my school, but I have had no luck finding anything. I was thinking last night to post in either the Orange County or Riverside forums, but I read the rules first and saw the bullet point that stated all posts of missing persons should be made in the People Search forum.'

Since the person whose name I am trying to find is dead, I am not sure if I should post in that forum? Also I feel I would have better luck locating her full name (and from that I hope I can locate an article on the accident online which is what i am been doing these past few months) from someone either the Riverside or Orange County forum [I know I must chose only one of them to post in...no cross-posts! ]

All I have is the last name, (which is a fairly common surname) the school year span I was in first grade for, the highway, and the two first names of three of her children, who are also common first names.

Have you tried the archives of the local newspapers ?? Some have good on-line archives, others do not. If you don't know the local papers, you can look them up at this website:
http://www.mondotimes.com/index.html

Also local libraries would be a source for local news articles

I tried looking at LA Times archives, and I couldn't find anything. It doesn't help much that her last name is a colour, so I get a lot of not related posts I'll check that website out though, thank you!

I would put it in the People Search forum. There are people looking for deceased in some of the posts, looks like hundreds of posts...

Make sure you read the sticky: Please read-important tips.

Orange County Register seems like the place to look or Orange County stories... Orange County Register: California News, Sports and Entertainment

Or the Press-Enterprise for Riverside County
