I wanted to ask how one would go about properly requesting the creation of a new sub-forum.

I have read the posting at : //www.city-data.com/forum/faq/1...ums-added.html

Yes, this is something that has come up in the NY forum in regards to the lack of a (mid)Hudson Valley(/Catskills) forum. Given that the Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown metro is actually a separate metro area in the top 100 and would get quite bit of responses, I don't see why there isn't a mid Hudson Valley/Catskills forum. You also have the Kingston metro area in that portion of the state as well.

I also wonder why Rockland County isn't added in with the Westchester County forum.
