BTW, I saw in the Posting Rules, shown at the bottom of the page that you may edit your posts, but I can't figure out how to do this. Could somebody please explain to me what I would need to do to edit a post that I have already posted, but would like to change?
First of all, you only have ninety minutes to make changes, after that you have to ask a moderator. Go to your post, if it's within the time frame, you should see an edit button. Click that, your post will open up and you can make changes, go advanced to use smilies, then you can preview your post. These buttons are all there, once you click on edit. It's pretty self explanatory once you click the edit button.
Any way to edit thread titles after you make one? I DM'ed a mod to get it done, but was there a way for me to do it? I went in, maybe a minute after and tried to do it to no avail.

Cool...good to know I wasn't blind. What's the motive behind that? Even a smaller window like, 2-5 minutes to edit a title would be pretty beneficial to posters.

I don't think there is any. It's a standard software feature: a member may be able to edit a post or not but editing threads is a moderator's job only.
