Coloured is a generic term they use(d) in SA to refer to a great variety of non-white people, in many cases with no direct african ancestry, as was the case with many asian people.

It's funny "refers or referred to an ethnic group of mixed-race people who possess some sub-Saharan African ancestry, but not enough to be considered Black under the law of South Africa" it sound quite discriminating to me, as a kind of second class citizens.

New sad updates.
Boycott Botswana tourism

Botswana bushmen: 'If you deny us the right to hunt, you are killing us'

The San people are reaching out to Prince Charles to help overturn new laws threatening their tribal culture

It costs £500 a night to stay in a luxury safari camp in the Kalahari desert in Botswana. For that price, wealthy tourists get drinks, game drives and, says one tour company, an "interpretive Bushman walk with staff members who hail from the ancient Bushman clans of the area". Visitors watch half-naked men shooting bows and arrows in the sand dunes and, if they get permission, can pay to shoot giraffe, zebra and other wildlife with guns...

San people are politically uncomfortable...
They don't teach that at school or talk about it in the mass media, but the rulers and most of the population, black people, bantu people, congid or whatever you call it are so invaders or those territories (South Africa, Botswana...) as the whites.
They complained about the white racism but they are doing the same with the San people.

Only problem was that she wasn't a Black woman, she was KhoiSan.. Nor was she dark skinned. Her skin color after embalming got darker. The same people that have been marginalized and labeled as Coloured or Mixed in South Africa and are forced to change their identities to Black or Bantu to be able to get "Native" rights. Even though the Bantu were not the Native population of South Africa. They were exploited by the Afrikaners, and now they are being robbed again.
