Can anyone recommend a few neighborhoods to live in if you were working at UCT? Within a 30 min driving commute. The closer the better, obviously. Not wanting a student atmosphere though. I did a quick search of the forums, but couldn't fine any answers. Thanks for your help.

Rosebank, Rondebosch, or Claremont all work well. Plenty of options away from student-heavy areas.

Sea Point is probably the nicest place to live in the area. Anything in the City Bowl is probably a good option (not Bo-Kaap). Basically as long as you steer clear of Woodstock and probably Observatory, you have a lot of choices.

There are some lovely areas of Woodstock and Observatory, some not so nice. Commuting from Sea Point to UCT is a PITA.
