I am considering doing a medical volunteer trip to Africa this year or next, I really wanted to particularly work with Ebola as I am single with no dependents and have been in pretty intense situations and hazmat situatations before, however, with all the ISIS things going on I'm not sure about what area, while I have no issue with dying from a disease that is killing my brothers and sisters on the other side of the world, I am not so keen on getting my head chopped off on national Television. That being said, any suggestions on where I could go and share my skills? I work mainly in emergency medicine but can do basic care as well. I thought about working in an ER in Tanzania? Refugee camps? I dunno, either way, bottom line, the world has given me a lot and it's time to give back.
Great to know your interest and feeling towards others. As you have high skills I am not sure that you would like to go for medical volunteering program in Tamale - Ghana or healthcare program in Arusha, Tanzania. At these places they always in need of some medical skills as they don't have proper instruments and skilled doctors. So, if you are interested you can have a look on this link and see if you can do some help through this:- https://www.volunteeringsolutions.co...-medical-ghana
