Its their culture. Regardless of how much some of the women complain about the practice, they couldn't be persuaded to stop it.

I'd say none are allowed to do anything but submit. That's how things roll in other parts of the world.

Personally I think it's reprehensible, and barbaric.

I'm much more at ease with Western/Euro/US values.

It's clear that Antonio has not actually read the article. The sexual "cleanser" admits to having AIDS, and never uses protection. In addition, the practice uses fear to keep women in line and submit. There's nothing imperialistic about wanting to protect young women and children.
