(Reuters) - Rebels and government troops in Congo have committed atrocities including mass rape, cannibalism and the dismemberment of civilians, according to testimony published on Tuesday by a team of U.N. human rights experts who said the world must pay heed.
The team investigating a conflict in the Kasai region of Democratic Republic of Congo told the U.N. Human Rights Council last week that they suspected all sides were guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Their detailed 126-page report cataloged gruesome attacks committed in the conflict, which erupted in late 2016, involving the Kamuina Nsapu and Bana Mura militias and Congo's armed forces, the FARDC.

The prediction of race war in RSA has not eventuated regardless of severe poverty issues. Zimbabwe has finally been relieved of its long standing dictator in Mugabe.
Rwanda has come along rather nicely since their horrific civil war. Liberia has seen a return to democracy after years of much brutality.
Africa may well be a more 'hopeful' continent in ever more of the countries that make up that continent than even a decade previously. Not to deny on going problems but they are hardly alone in that feature.

Because there is no end in sight. These countries have had their independence for a long time and still can’t stop killing each other. This is 2018 for crying out loud.

The Congo is particularly savage even by Africa's low standards. It is often described as Hell on Earth.

Well Iraq, Libya and Syria had been independent for a considerable period of time as well and yet outsiders thought it wise to intervene. Regardless of the end results creating instability and chaos.
Any thoughts of why that should be so while neglecting Congo? Yes there often is other variables involved. Such as the formation of borders by former colony masters and/or support of tyrant's in the name of ideological preference. Ordinary people don't often get a look in. More a matter of not interfering in the internal affairs of another country especially if so said country has a limited role to play in the economic area and/or politically/military strategic.
That's where to lay the blame on continued ongoing chaos. Poor and corrupt governance within individual nations I have acknowledged, I believe.

Any thoughts on the reasons still too many African Americans live in poverty in the worlds richest nation? Why so many are victims of crime in one form or another and have such a numerous prison population?
That's in no way an attempt to undermine the shocking occurrences being played out in Congo. Other parts of Africa are attempting to move ahead. Some more successfully than others, but most everywhere, their report card, could well marked, could do better.

In fact he's not posting this as a concern for happening in the Congo. More as a excitement cause he love posting negative crap about Africans I seriously don't know why Op even post in this section.
Even with the horrific things going on in Congo the country as a whole is still better of than independence when life expectancy was in the high 30s, now it’s in the high 50s.
