If you are interested by the fate of SA Blacks, watch all the mainstream medias, or liberal medias, you will have an abundance of "information", however these medias are not interested in the plight of non -Black South Africans , which still represent (including Asians and mixed-race) an important minority (I believe the Liberals are very keen to defend minorities, don't they?). And even among the Blacks, not all of them agree with ANC/EFF policies. And the Zulus, or the Suthus, or the Khoisans (Cape aboriginals)don't really see eye to eye with the majority Xhosas.

Can't expect masses of blacks to live in poverty while a minority of whites live well and there not be political tension. The problem is that blacks lack the capital, skills and probably the desire to operate large commercial farms.

Every time I hear people (usually white) bring up South Africa it makes me want to rip
my hair out. Let’s examine some real facts and not the Fake news
Whites make up 10-15% of the population but own 90-95% of the land and resources thanks to apartheid, a system in which blacks were prevented from sharing in the wealth of the country for over 400 years.
People don’t understand just how great an advantage apartheid was for whites. During the apartheid years, while blacks were being crushed and languished in poverty, whites had some of the highest living standards in the WORLD, higher than most European countries all thanks to apartheid. Remember that the next time you hear whites wailing about the unfairness of affirmative action and their loss of power and privilege.
Whites love to point out the high crime and violence in the country especially when it affects them like the farmers in the OP. What the white South Africans will never tell you is that the violence was encouraged by the apartheid government as long as it was black on black and didn’t spill over to the white sections. The government very shrewdly realized that if the blacks could be turned against each other then they would be too distracted to unite and fight against the real criminals, the white government. It’s common knowledge in South Africa that the apartheid government would for example give money and weapons to the Inkatha party and encourage them to fight against the ANC, causing black on black violence which continues till this day.
Unfortunately for whites, the protection they had was removed when apartheid fell apart and now they get to enjoy the suffering they have instigated against everyone else. And now they are the victims to be sympathized with.
Another example of the pure evil of the white governments that you will never hear about: the process of creating alcohol addiction in the mixed race population, known as the dop system. White farmers for centuries refused to pay their colored workers in cash, paying them instead with wine. This created generations of alcoholics in the colored communities in fact South Africa has some of the highest alcoholism rates in the world thanks to these policies. Needless to say, this has caused tremendous problems with regards to family, health and crime which the present governments are still grappling with today. And that’s light. I could go on with tales of the murder, torture and prison used by white governments to ensure they stayed in power.
And unlike slavery in America, this didn’t happen centuries ago. Apartheid ended in 1994. Millions of people who had to endure this are alive and well today.
I wouldn’t cry too hard for them. Most of them are fleeing the country heading to England, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States, leaving the blacks and other non whites to deal with the wreckage and destruction that bedevils the country now. Never has one group of people been so destructive to a nation. It’s a shame because with the resources South Africa has, it should have been an incredibly rich successful diverse first world nation, but thanks to a greedy minority the country is now hopelessly derailed. The ANC government was a bunch of rebels, not administrators and they have mismanaged the country but it speaks to how horrendous the white governments were that no one would even consider throwing the ANC out.
I’m going to stop here otherwise I would end up writing a novel but please enough with the martyrdom of white South Africans. They have plenty of blood on their hands.
Your misrepresentation and over simplification of "facts" is laughable. You have swallowed the anti-white propaganda pill completely. I cannot help but wonder at your background but I wont ask you to disclose.
One or two things worth noting for some perspective:
This idea of percentage of land owned by white farmers needs to be understood properly. Most of South Africa is semi-desert and severely water distressed. It takes many, many acres to eek out a modest living in most areas. For example in the Karoo and Northern Cape were something like a third of the white farming land ownership acreage is you could have a 12 000 acre farm sup;porting only like a thousand sheep. 400 acres in lush England could support probably more head than that. So using area alone gives the impression of land wealth that isnt an accurate picture. White Farmers and their ancestors were very good at making bad land productive. Land where none of the so called indigenous tribes even wanted. It makes for good propaganda as we see in your case to claim this amazing wealth amongst a small white minority.
The idea that whites stole a whole country from some poor tribesmen also is nonsense. History (real history) shows whites and blacks arriving in the area known as South Africa today at around the same time. Whites from the West (Cape) via ship and Blacks overland from the East. It was many many decades before the two groups met for the first time as the whites expanded east. There were wars, there were purchases and treaties and there were deals made.
The ancestors of today's Afrikaners were a mixture of Dutch, French, German and other blood that wished to escape British domination and they were the ones who left to explore the interior. They were family groups and rather interested in NOT settling anywhere there were existing people who they might clash with. Later Apartheid emerged as a system of separate development whereby the Afrikaners of the day beleived that the two groups of people would be better off pursuing their own destinies. Whites believed in private ownership of land, blacks had a tribal system whereby the King and his chiefs allocated land to subjects. (Incidentally this system still exists in much of South Africa and the Zulu King threatened war if his lands were to be included in the States current plans to nationalize (expropriate) all land.
So to suggest as you do that whites and farmers deserve violence because they created it is absurd. Whites, especially the Afrikaners only ever wanted a peaceful place to settle. The wars and violence you talk of regarding Inkatha was as a result of Communists aspirations in Southern Africa creating a conflict that lasted decades.
There were atrocities committed at all stages of South Africas history. We voted to end Apartheid, for freedom and Democracy and a peaceful future in 1994. For you to come along now and suggest we deserve to suffer and deserve violence? [mod cut]

I stopped to quote at this point (will read the rest after) but you've already just started making up facts within the first paragraph. We both know this is a gross exaggeration on your part. The majority of the land is owned by businesses, churches and Government. And considering businesses are pushed into being BEE compliant in order to really trade successfully, it's impossible for white people to own that percentage...Private ownership is sitting at around 33%.
As for 400 years. Apartheid as a system was a set of laws that were only signed and enforced once the NP gained power in 1948. Whereas the Land Act that started separating black people was sitting around 1913. Apartheid didn't begin as soon as Jan Van Riebeeck arrived.

Most white South Africans today were pre-adults or were not born yet when Apartheid was abolished. Also, the vast majority of white South Africans who lived under Apartheid did not commit murder. More black lives are lost (through murder) in post-Apartheid South Africa annually than under Apartheid... and this by other blacks.
In some ways South Africa was a better country under Apartheid. Black Africans do a poor job of running a country. Black Africans have to learn how to get smart by themselves. Blacks in South Africa are looking for the government to do everything for them. Most leaders just want to fill their own bank accounts. They spout land seizures because they are stoking populism. It'll do nothing for the average black but make them poorer in the long run (white-run farms offer employment -- take away these and you have less employment... also, South Africa will lose a key sector in its already shaky economy and will have to import more food).
So now people are saying apartheid was better in some ways. Well I guess it’s safe to say we will have to agree to disagree on the issue of South Africa. Otherwise we will be arguing till we are all blue in the face. However for the non South Africans reading this, here are some points for you to consider and research for yourselves:
1) Google the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission where you can read the sworn testimony of the apartheid government operatives confessing to many of the atrocities I mentioned, the effects of which still haunt the country now. Warning: some of it is extremely graphic and disturbing, one of the greatest testament of mans inhumanity to man
2) Google the history of the word bantustan. Here you will see what I mean about whites getting most of the best resources.
In closing, do I think whites deserve violence? No I don’t. It’s just that for every white farmer killed, there are 100 blacks who suffer the same fate with no media fanfare. It’s highly unlikely that Tucker Carlson and Fox News would do any program for the blacks. So Why do whites deserve the special treatment?
Like I said before, South Africa could have been so much more, the shining light of Africa. Instead it’s spiraling down to the gutter. Some would argue that it’s already there. I don’t even know how you begin to solve problems that were built up over 400 years. And Lord knows the ANC does not have the answers. But for whites to complain at all when they ran things for 400 years is just mind boggling. You had your shot. You created a system that only Hitler could love. Be thankful that the blacks don’t go Old Testament and put you under the same system you gave them. Either be part of the solution or just leave. Canada, Australia and now Trump all love you.
Racist white Americans say the same about segregation and slavery, threat we cannot govern ourselves, etc without taking the blame for
creating a horrible situation all over the world. It's a pretty easy concept since the evidence is all over the globe. To say black people were better off when they had no rights is unintellectual nonsense.
