Rich people and people in wealthy communities are not immune from getting diseases and viruses. That was my point.
You are perfectly correct however your logic is flawed poor malnourished people from deprived communities without proper sterile water supplies and proper sanitation are more prone to getting disease and sadly in many cases dying from it, unlike their more well to do cousins in rich communities who are less likely to become ill and far less likely to die from the disease if they do succumb.
And most Americans are now in hiding because they lack the confidence that the authorities can deal with it. As tropical diseases march north, with most who live in these areas lacking immunity, and having lower exposure what will we see?
Unlike Italy the USA has had ample time to prepare. Its only now that it has become a locally transmitted disease, yet we test at 1/3 the numbers of South Korea, a nation 19th 15% of the population. We don't even have the infrastructure to assist people to at least be tested to ascertain whether they have the disease or not.
Having proper sanitation and local authorities has less to do with poverty and more to do with priorities. In Michigan and throughout the USA the drinking water is contaminated and so is many of its farmed soils. Which cause disease, viruses, and even some cancers. This can all be rl.

Poor people don't equal malnourished or diseased people. Disease and viruses affect everyone and is not unique to Africa. The coronavirus is mainly in all the 1st world wealthier countries what happened?

Completely agree! The pipelines are so OLD in need of much repair and is the cause of many fires and deaths as a result. I'm sure this current virus is bigger than we know it to be. When implementing tax cuts for the wealthy corporations are justified by slashing EPA/CDC staff, departments, and budgets there is no wonder why this current virus will become difficult to manage since it was not a priority.
These are malnourished people and not diseased people and these people who usually look like this because of drought stricken conditions. If it is entertaining for you to show images like that I can only pray you grow a conscious. There are many poor people in the USA they are not diseased or malnourished.
Many people in the rural communities in Africa for instance feed each other with what is grown on the land. If you are so worried about diseases in Africa be sure to tell the USA government not to get food from abroad because if the people are diseased so is the food!

Again, the only thing you know about the people in the picture you grabbed off the internet is that they are malnourished you don't know if they are carriers of a disease. You don't know why they are malnourished like I've stated it is usually due to drought or they can be refugees there are an entire host of reasons for their condition and it could be a temporary situation.
The answer to the OP question is not poverty. The answer to the question is not one thing and is usually due to the priorities of the country's government. If they government wants to pay sure that the poorest people get medical treatment or shots they will make it happen if they do nothing, well the condition is what it is. Can you understand that! If your assessment of poor people living in a poor community harbors diseases is that the case for neighborhoods in NJ, NY, KY, KS, CA, etc? Why are diseases rampant in all parts of the world is that because of poverty or a host of issues including it?
Now if I show images and videos like the one below and make comments that these people are malnourished or have disease or that they are homeless in the wealthiest country by choice I'd be dead wrong if not a bit ignorant to factors that contribute to their homelessness!
