Hello

I am French, and I would like to know, how's that takes place at your home, for the internet access? Indeed I have relatives in cuyahoga Falls Ohio and impossible to contact them by Skype.

They live in Cuyahoga Falls and for me it is incomprehensible because here in France 80 % of the French people have ADSL internet in 512Kbps at least and for the most fortunate which live in town they have the optical fiber in 100Mbps for an average price of 35€ / month that is 47 US DOLLARS by month

Have you technical problems to have an ADSL internet access? If yes which one?
And what is the price of the internet ADSL access a month?

I also heard that it is possible to have internet in WIFI since the street, is this truth? How it works at the level pricing for the communications?

Thank you in advance for your answers, because I need to understand why they communicate only very rarely with us.

Broadband in the Falls there are 2 options.

1.) DSL thru AT&T. Speeds vary from about 1 MBPS download up to 10 or 15 MBPS or so. Prices depend on speed, I think 1mps is around $20, 5 is around $40, etc. There are discounts if it is bundled with tv, phone, cellular.
Upload speeds are something like 1/4 the download speed.

2.) Cable thru Time Warner. Average package is around $40-$50 for 12 or so MBPS download but there ate also speed tiers, discounts for bundling with other services, etc.

There is no residential fiber that I know of and it would be expensive if there was.

Many stores have wifi, but no street access. Akron tried it but shut it down as it did not work well.
