Inexpensive Hotels Outside The Canton Area (Cleveland, Akron: prices, tickets, streets)

I have tickets to see the pro football hall of fame induction ceremony. I'm also going to see the Rock n' Roll hall of fame. The Canton area is booked, as is most of the Cleveland area, do any of you know a city in northern/central Ohio that has a couple of decent motels? I have relatives in Zanesville, but I don't want to bother them, and the prices we were quoted are in the $160 price range. Anything you know of for around $70-$90?

You can check the hotels in the Montrose area of Akron (44333) This is about equidistant between Canton and Cleveland. If those are not cheap enough, a bit further west of this area on I 76 in Wadsworth and Seville are a Hawthorne, Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn and Super 8. I 76 runs east and west and both I 77 to Canton, and I 71 to Cleveland cross it.

If you are having that hard of time finding hotels, you can go a little further out to Streetsboro. They have hotels in that price range.

It is a little further out but you can take I-80W to I-77S and its not to bad. I would have a hard time believing any of these hotels not having any rooms.

its not easy to find afforable hotels doing this time of year, the hotels jack their prices for HOF weekend i just read thread i hope you found a hotel.

I hear you, I booked my hotel in Akron months in advance. I am in the Akron/Canton area for the PGA Tour stop at Firestone. You have two huge events going on in this area, and you are going to have pretty much all the hotels booked.
